Bryce Cline, left, owner of Homemade Passions by Bryce, and Marisa DeLay, owner of Emerald's Eats, have moved into shared commercial space at 713 N. Seventh St. in Riverton.

Two longtime friends who both own food-related businesses have teamed up on a shared commercial space.

Emerald’s Eats and Homemade Passions by Bryce have moved into the building at 713 N. Seventh St. in Riverton. It was most recently occupied by Bakin’ Me Happy, which closed unexpectedly at the end of May.

“We’ve moved in together to the kitchen,” said Marisa DeLay, owner of Emerald’s Eats. “I will be continuing my normal catering operations while also offering meal prep options and bulk meal options.”

Meanwhile, she said Homemade Passions by Bryce will continue to make baked goods for farmers markets and special events, while also having a retail space for the first time. The brick-and-mortar location will also allow for adding a coffee shop and grab-and-go breakfast items in the coming months.

DeLay said she and Bryce Cline, the other business owner, were previously both operating out of a commercial kitchen in a Springfield industrial park, but the two already knew each other.

“We actually met when we both worked at Café Moxo and have always maintained a relationship since then,” said DeLay. “Anytime I need cookies or a pie, she takes care of it for me, and when people ask her for catering, she puts them in touch with me. We’ve just been a really good pair.”
