Rambach Insurance Agency takes over services for closed AAA Springfield office

The AAA Springfield office has closed, but Rambach Insurance Agency has taken over its services, and several of the staff members as well.

The AAA Insurance office at 1915 W. Iles Ave. closed as of Aug. 18. “I was at that branch for about 10 years, then ended up opening up an agency, and it was the first of its kind in Illinois,” said Zach Rambach. He opened Rambach Insurance Agency, 1230 Centre West Dr., in April 2016. “It went really well; we’ve grown from two employees to 12,” he said.

Rambach said the growth of his agency actually contributed to the corporate office’s decision to close the other office. “Corporate was confident enough that we are able to be the face of Springfield now for AAA,” he said. “We ended up hiring a few of their employees, and we’ll be able to do full-service insurance as well as help with some travel needs and any member needs as well.”

While Rambach said his business isn’t a full-fledged travel agency, it will now provide some travels needs, such as international driver’s licenses, passports and setting up appointments for travel agents and bookings, in addition to helping AAA members.

“They can contact us or come by, and we’ll take care of them,” Rambach said.
