Kevin Seely named president and CEO at HSHS St. Francis Hospital

On Wednesday, Aug. 18, HSHS St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield announced the appointment of Kevin G. Seely, PA, MBA-HA, MS-IHMP, as president and CEO. Seely is the replacement for past president and CEO Patti Fischer, who now serves as the chief operating officer at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

With more than 25 years of experience in clinical and health care leadership, Seely has worked with medical centers, integrated delivery systems and large medical groups in both non-profit and for-profit settings. His education background includes a dual degree in molecular biology and genetics from University of Kansas; a Bachelor of Science from Wayne State University, and a Master of Business Administration -- Health Care Administration and a Master of Science in International Health Management and Policy from the University of Colorado at Denver.

Seely’s career in health care began as an emergency medical technician. Most recently, Seely served in a dual role as the vice president of INTEGRIS Medical Group, as well as vice president and chief operating officer of INTEGRIS Bass Baptist Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma. According to E.J. Kuiper, president and CEO of the HSHS Central Illinois Division, Seely’s education and work experience have prepared him well for this role. “He [Seely] has proven leadership skills, and he understands the importance of strong strategic initiatives to improve patient access and experience.”
