Isringhausen Imports has broken ground on a new Porsche dealership in downtown Springfield. The new building at 100 E. Madison St. will be located across from the existing BMW facility.

During construction, Porsche sales and service will continue to operate at the current location, 229 E. Jefferson St., with an anticipated transition to the new facility slated for the fourth quarter of 2025.

According to a statement from Isringhausen Imports: "The new facility will be based on Porsche's latest global corporate architecture for its facilities. The "Destination Porsche" concept is characterized by exciting design, use of digital media for vehicle customization and emphasis on exceptional automotive experiences."

Isringhausen Imports had previously acquired the former Butternut Hut property - after assisting that business in relocating - as well as the adjacent building, as part of plans to construct a new facility. Once the Porsche construction is complete, the current facility will become a sole Mercedes-Benz dealership and the shared lot will become a single-branded one, according to Cainan Barnett, Isringhausen's marketing manager.

“Investing into our community, and specifically our downtown, has historically been one of Isringhausen’s top priorities. For over 40 years, we have continued to call downtown Springfield our home," said dealer principal Geoff Isringhausen. "We pride ourselves on delivering world-class experiences to those that trust us with their automotive journey while also focusing our investments on the local community... We are excited for this chapter of our story and look forward to welcoming our customers to the new facility.”
