HSHS consolidates offices, moves employees into former AIG building

The former AIG office building, located at 3051 Hollis Drive in Springfield, has recently undergone a major renovation in preparation for the newest tenant. Earlier this year, Founders Properties obtained commercial demolition and remodeling permits, with a total project value of $888,799. O’Shea Builders served as the general contractor.

The space is now occupied by HSHS Medical Group Corporate Services, including a number of employees from HSHS St. John’s Hospital business and finance offices who relocated from leased office space in the Town and Country Shopping Center on MacArthur Boulevard.

“We already had some employees in the Hollis building, so this was an effort to consolidate the other colleagues from that department into one location,” explained Erica Johnson, manager of communications for HSHS Central Illinois Division, which includes St. John’s Hospital.

Johnson said that of the approximately 100 people who previously worked at the Town and Country location, the majority moved into the Hollis building. Fourteen employees relocated to the HSHS Central Illinois Division space in the Bank of Springfield building at Ninth St. and Madison St.

In addition, the 200 employees from HSHS Medical Group and the HSHS system offices who were previously working out of the former IDOT building at 3215 Executive Park Drive have also relocated to the Hollis Drive location.
