Erin Sommer has joined Security Bank in the role of vice president of human resources, effective Aug. 26. She will be working out of the downtown branch at 510 E. Monroe.
Sommer has more than 20 years of experience in management, talent acquisition, marketing and leadership. She most recently spent more than 10 years in various roles with Express Employment Professionals and has extensive experience in the retail, staffing and health care industries.
Sommer is active in Illinois Women in Leadership and was recognized as one of Springfield Business Journal's Forty Under 40 in 2021. She holds a bachelor's degree in health studies from Eastern Illinois University.
