State of Greater Springfield lunch to be held on Wednesday, May 17

The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and the Commercial Real Estate Network (CREN) will be holding the State of Greater Springfield on Wednesday, May 17, at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel – a DoubleTree by Hilton from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Springfield’s Mayor-Elect, Misty Buscher, will provide the annual address for the city. In a new addition this year, Andy Van Meter, Sangamon County Board Chair, will also provide a brief overview of the county’s respective administration. Following these addresses, they will answer questions posed in advance by attendees, which include area business owners, local and state elected officials and other community leaders.

Those attending who want to submit a question must do so in advance via the Chamber’s website. The intention is to include a diverse selection of questions to the Mayor and Chairman, although time constraints may limit the number of questions presented.

The cost for members to attend is $45 per person before April 26. After April 26, the cost for members will increase to $55 per person and non-members are $80 per person.
