A to Z Bargains has opened on North Grand Avenue East, selling new inventory from major retailers at a fraction of the cost. The liquidation store, which occupies the former Family Dollar building at 313 North Grand Ave. East, carries items from Target, Walmart, Lowe’s and Home Depot, plus online merchants such as Amazon and Wayfair, among others.
“We get two or three shipments a week,” said general manager Tracey Thomas, who notes that the inventory is constantly changing. “We’re selling all-new items at 30-80% off retail.”
While the nature of the business means that the same products are not necessarily in stock every week, Thomas said the store consistently carries household items, furniture, appliances, baby needs, clothes and shoes and a variety of contractor supplies such as flooring, lighting and tools.
A grand opening is planned for June 9-11, which will include an additional 10% off the whole store, plus clothing and shoes for $2. Thomas said there will also be auctions for entire pallets of items.
“It’s a very big space, and it’s completely full,” she said.
