Nominations are now being accepted for the Good as Gold awards program, recognizing those that make Springfield a great place to live and thrive through their spirit of service in the Springfield community.
The University of Illinois Springfield, the Junior League of Springfield and United Way of Central Illinois will host the 15th Annual Springfield Good as Gold Volunteer Awards Ceremony on April 24. The Good as Gold ceremony began in 2009.
Nominations for individuals, organizations and businesses committed to volunteerism and charitable giving are being accepted until Feb. 1. Visit https://www.uis.edu/volunteer/community-partners/good-gold to find information about the event, nomination forms and sponsorship opportunities.
