Wildly Rooted Boutique opening downtown

Three small business owners and artisans have teamed up to open Wildly Rooted Boutique in downtown Springfield. The store will hold a grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Callie Estes, owner of Jo Jo’s Jewelry; Jessica Lynn, owner of Green Haven Co. and One Knotty Maker in Jacksonville; and Courtney Wright, owner of Cloth + Oak, all met each other through doing pop-ups events.

The trio decided to team up and open a boutique for women’s, kids’ and home décor. Estes describes the store as an “all-inclusive women’s boutique that is plus-size positive,” and notes the shop carries clothes up to size 5x.

In addition to selling their own products, the women are also carrying products from other local businesses. “We’re collaborating with a lot of local small businesses to be in our storefront, at least 10 of them so far,” said Estes. “We want to give an opportunity to new people who haven’t been able to get into retail shops yet.”

Wildly Rooted Boutique will also offer weekly workshops featuring everything from macramé to making earrings and hold paint nights.

“It’s been over a year in the works, so we’re excited to finally open our doors,” said Estes. The boutique is located next door to another female-owned business, Ad Astra Wine Bar & Market, which is also holding a grand opening on Saturday.

Wildly Rooted Boutique will be open Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26.
