Allied Design Consultants acquired by GreenAssociates, Inc.

Springfield architectural firm Allied Design Consultants has been acquired by GreenAssociates, Inc., an Itasca-based architecture firm.

According to Todd Hannah, the former owner of Allied Design Consultants, not much will change in terms of the day-to-day operations. The firm will continue to operate out of its current location at 1413 S. MacArthur Blvd.

“I’m the principal in charge of the Springfield office, and the rest of the staff is staying the same. We’ll operate as GreenAssociates’ Springfield office, with the potential of sharing more work and getting them more work downstate.”

Hannah said GreenAssociates specializes in working with school districts, and he has worked with the firm on various projects in the past. “We’ve had mutual connections over the years. There have been talks over several years, and this time it just all worked out,” he said.

Allied Design Consultants began operations in 1984 and employed four people at the time of the transition. GreenAssociates was founded in 1979 and has 23 people on staff at its headquarters in Itasca.
