Even though she was born and raised in Springfield, Erica Johnson says living in Arizona has always been one of her goals. Her husband, Jason Johnson, grew up in Springfield as well but the couple’s long-term plan to relocate out west has finally come to fruition. “Arizona has always been our dream,” said Johnson, who currently serves as the HSHS Illinois division director of marketing and communications.

“We’re leaving Springfield on Jan. 13 and then I’ll work remotely until Feb. 25 to help with any type of transition that might need to occur,” she said. Johnson has worked for HSHS in various roles since 2014. Prior to that, she served as the director of student marketing and alumni for Sacred-Heart Griffin High School.

Johnson said she has accepted a position as the director of communications and membership for the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association, based in Phoenix. Her husband, Jason, currently works for Stryker, a medical equipment company, and has accepted a position based in Tempe, Arizona, as a sales education training manager.

Johnson said that HSHS will be posting her current position soon to begin the process of finding her replacement.
