Living Well Chiropractic has a new location and an expanded practice. Owner Dr. Sam Oertel, a Springfield native, moved back to the area eight years ago and had been practicing in the same building as Dr. Chris Leone.
“He announced recently that he was moving to Texas, so I took over all his patients and moved the practice down the road,” said Oertel. “A lot of the people knew me already because I used to cover for him when he would go on vacation and that sort of thing.”
Oertel and Leone shared space at 1019 S. Sixth St., but Oertel said the fact that it was a former house that had been converted to an office presented challenges. “It wasn’t the greatest set up, there were steps into the building and you couldn’t see people when they pulled up,” he said.
Living Well Chiropractic is now located at 2746 S. Sixth St., a freestanding building across from County Market. Oertel started seeing patients at the new location as of Oct. 25 but said there are still finishing touches to do.
“We’re still in the middle of renovations, but it’s really coming along. I’m excited to see the end result,” said Oertel.
