MJ Kellner to hold open house community event

In honor of the business’ 100-year anniversary, MJ Kellner Foodservice, 5700 International Parkway, is inviting the community to tour the 90,000 square-foot facility and enjoy food from three of their local food truck customers: Leo’s Pizza, Casa Real and Gilly’s BBQ.  This open house event is free of charge and open to the public. The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 1-4 p.m.

Each attendee will receive a complimentary ticket to enjoy a specialty entrée from their choice of the food trucks.  Additional items from the food trucks will be available to purchase.

The event will also include music, snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy and coffee and tea refreshments from Red Diamond.  Guided tours of the facility and warehouse will be offered every 10 minutes.

“The Kellner family and MJ Kellner employee-owners would like to show Springfield and the surrounding communities their gratitude for the extraordinary relationships and endless support since the company was founded in 1920,” according to a written statement released by marketing coordinator Rayna Damacher. “They look forward to the future and continuing to be their customers’ most trusted and reliable partner for generations to come.”
