The Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln has hired Sarah Helm as its first full-time vice president of development. Her responsibilities include planning, directing and evaluating the Community Foundation’s fund development activities.
“The Community Foundation is a unique charitable resource providing local donors the opportunity to create lasting impact. I am honored to join the team and look forward to serving our community,” Helm said.
Helm most recently served as executive director of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation in Lincoln, where she managed a comprehensive fund development program aimed at generating philanthropic support to improve local health. Prior to that, she worked for the Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies as director of research and administration helping serve member agencies of Illinois’ Poverty Fighting Network.
Helm graduated from Purdue University and later received a master’s in public administration from the University of Illinois at Springfield. She lives in Lincoln with her husband and children
