The building at 2746 S. Sixth St. that formerly housed Roesch’s Gym has recently undergone major renovations, but there is no new tenant scheduled to move in just yet. The property, located in front of Habitat for Humanity – Sangamon County, is in a highly visible location, leading to speculation about a new business moving in due to renovations being underway earlier this year. Joyner Constructions Services completed an exterior remodel last month on behalf of the owner, JJA Properties, LLC.
However, the property is currently listed for lease with Jim Skeeters of Keller Williams Capital, who reports that the renovation work was intended to make the property more appealing to a potential tenant. The building is 3,200 square feet, although the Skeeters said the owner would also consider dividing the space.
