Joe Kulek will become the new president of Henson Robinson Company, effective March 1. He succeeds Dan Hoselton, who has served in that role for over 25 years. Hoselton will be stepping down from day-to-day operations and executive duties, but will remain on the executive board until his retirement at the end of 2021.
Brian Vogt will remain president of Petersburg Plumbing and Excavating and will serve as executive partner with Kulek for Henson Robinson Company. Petersburg Plumbing and Excavating is a wholly owned subsidiary of Henson Robinson Company.
Kulek has been with the company since September 2018, serving as chief financial officer and a member of the executive board, and Vogt has been with the company since 2011. Together, Kulek and Vogt will be responsible for all executive duties, including leading strategic initiatives for Henson Robinson Co. and Petersburg Plumbing and Excavating.
“These changes are all part of the company’s orchestrated management succession plan due to Dan’s retirement,” Kulek said. “Over the next year, Dan’s focus will be on supporting the growth within our roofing department, transitioning business relationships and mentoring the roofing project managers. It will be a great asset to both Brian and I to have Dan as a sounding board over the next year as we take on the leadership role for Henson Robinson Company.”
Vogt said, “It has been an honor and a privilege to work so closely with Dan over the past nine years. Dan helped grow Henson Robinson through hard work, dedication, and by putting customers and community first. The Henson Robinson team and the culture will continue to be guided by these values and I wish Dan all the best in his retirement.”
Henson Robinson Company has been in business since 1861 and specializes in heating, air conditioning, ventilation, roofing and plumbing for both commercial and residential properties. In 2011, the company acquired Petersburg Plumbing and Excavating.
Henson Robinson Company was named one of Springfield Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in 2016.
