Shabby Shack moves to west side location

Shabby Shack, a boutique for home décor, painted furniture and jewelry, has relocated to 2621 W. White Oaks Dr. in Springfield as of Nov. 3.

Owners Greg and Roxanne Herr originally opened the business in 2015 at 449 N. Walnut Ave. and later expanded into an adjacent building. However, Roxanne said she had been considering a move to the west side for some time.

“We had a lot of people from the west side who came to the shop,” said Herr, noting that new customers would often comment they had no idea where the store was until hearing about it.

Herr said she felt that better visibility would “help our business with everything going on” and the new space also allowed them to consolidate everything into one building.

Shabby Shack is a distributor for Farmhouse Paint and sells painted furniture, as well as custom painting. “We wanted to make sure everybody heard about us,” said Herr. “Everybody that has come in to the new location already has said they’re so happy we moved.”
