Dan Kepner has joined the law firm of Brown, Hay & Stephens, LLP as an of counsel attorney, effective Nov. 1. Kepner concentrates his practice on the representation of injured parties in personal injury actions. He also maintains a general practice, including civil litigation, family law, real estate, insurance and probate matters, and represents clients through Senior Services of Central Illinois.

Kepner is a certified mediator and represents both plaintiffs and defendants to provide mediation services in all areas of law, particularly in family law. Kepner is also regularly appointed to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem or Child’s Representative on behalf of children in dissolution of marriage litigation matters.

After graduation from the University of Iowa School of Law, Kepner began his practice with his father and brother-in-law in the firm of Roberts, Kepner and Giganti and practiced with his family firm for nearly 40 years.

Kepner is a past president of the Sangamon County Bar Association and the Sacred Heart-Griffin Advisory Board, a prior member of the Blessed Sacrament Advisory Board, and a prior member of the board of directors of Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance. He has also volunteered on behalf of Sojourn Shelter throughout his career.
