Meraki Salon and Spa moving, doubling in size

After just three years, Meraki Salon and Spa has already outgrown its current location and owner Jacqueline Goleash says plans are in the works to move to a new building nearby.

Goleash worked as a stylist on her own for a year before moving into the current location at 2815 W. White Oaks Dr. and adding staff, which now includes three other stylists, two estheticians, a receptionist and a salon manager.

“I’m not sure yet when we’re moving, but the sooner the better,” said Goleash of her intention to relocate the salon to 3019 Spring Mill Dr., just two blocks from the current location. “We’ll be doubling in size, which will give us the ability to offer way more services and give more of an intimate experience.”

Goleash said she is currently seeking to hire more stylists and a full-time esthetician. “We didn’t expect to grow like this, but all of our stylists are pretty full,” she explained, which limits the number of new clients the salon can take on. The new building will have 10 stylist stations and three spa rooms. Goleash said that some of the current staff is undergoing training for new services that will be offered, stating that both new salon and spa services will be added to the menu.

“Right now, there isn’t a lot of room for clients to sit and enjoy themselves,” Goleash said, noting that most people seek out a salon to be able to relax. “We want to create more of an experience for them to come and enjoy themselves and have an upscale, inviting, calming experience for all of our guests.”

Goleash said permits were recently approved for renovations needed at the new location, which formerly housed a dental office. Goleash’s husband, Brandon Goleash, is serving as the general contractor and Steckel-Parker Architects is the project architect.
