Leslie Barnett recently joined Sikich as a director in the company’s tax practice, working out of the office at 3201 W. White Oaks Dr. in Springfield.
Barnett has nearly 20 years of experience advising clients across industries on tax planning and compliance strategies. For the past decade, she has primarily supported organizations in the financial services industry, including closely held family-owned banks, widely held community banks and single-bank holding companies.
“I’m excited to team with Sikich’s strong group of tax professionals in the Springfield market,” Barnett said. “I expect my financial services industry expertise to be an asset to my Sikich colleagues and our clients, and I look forward to continuing to help financial institutions address their tax issues and maintain compliance.”
Before joining Sikich, Barnett spent 15 years at RSM US LLP, most recently as the senior director of tax services in the firm’s Springfield office. Barnett earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois Springfield.
