Two yoga instructors who have taught at various studios in the Springfield area are now preparing to open their own business, Flow Midwest Yoga & Meditation.

“I taught yoga for about four years at a couple of different places,” said Beverly Hopkins, “and Ashley (Krstulovich) has been out on her own for a while. She teaches yoga at Kari Bedford’s location downtown.”

Krstulovich also has a nonprofit and works extensively with K-12 students in Springfield and Decatur, volunteering to teach classes in yoga and mindfulness.

Flow Midwest Yoga & Meditation will be located at 1921 W. Iles Ave., next to The Office Sports Bar, in a space that was previously occupied by Imperial Barber Shop.  Hopkins said the interior is currently being renovated and she hopes to be ready to open in March. Her daughter, Lindsey Selinger, is an attorney who has been assisting with the business side of the new venture.

According to Hopkins, the new studio will offer yoga classes for all ages and abilities, along with meditation and mindfulness classes.

“We’re really excited to be able to offer this to the community and make a difference in people’s lives.”
