Chuck Davis is the new managing partner of Brown, Hay & Stephens LLP, effective Jan. 1. He succeeds Jeff Wilday, who served in the role for more than 18 years.
In a note posted to the law firm’s Facebook page on Dec. 31, Wilday stated, “This is not retirement for me, however. I will continue working full-time on client matters here at BHS…just with far fewer interruptions throughout the day.”
Davis graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2005 and began working at Brown, Hay & Stephens later that same year. He was previously recognized as a Forty Under 40 by Springfield Business Journal.
Last year, the firm completed a major renovation of its space at 205 S. Fifth St. and expanded from 18,733 square feet of space to 25,000 square feet. Brown, Hay & Stephens is an original tenant of the building that currently also houses U.S. Bank, and the law firm has been located at the corner of Fifth and Adams streets since 1858.
