The Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce has hired Ashleigh Brinkman as executive director and Ryan McKennedy as coordinator.
Brinkman was born and raised in Chatham, where she and her husband, Tim, currently live with their three children. She most recently worked in medical sales and also has experience in event planning and fundraising. Brinkman holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from University of Illinois Springfield.
McKennedy was born and raised in Springfield but has lived in Chatham since 2018 with his wife and stepchildren. McKennedy also works as the Midwest program manager for Team Red, White & Blue, an organization that seeks to enrich the lives of veterans through physical and social activity. McKennedy has served in the Illinois Army National Guard for 12 years and is currently assigned to the 129th Regimental Training Institute as a human resources sergeant at Camp Lincoln. He holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California.
