Upcoming Citizens Club of Springfield policy breakfast on economic development

The Citizens Club of Springfield is hosting a policy breakfast on economic development on Friday, May 24 at 8 a.m. at the Hoogland Center for the Arts. The guest speaker will be Eric Berglund, president and CEO of The Land of Lincoln Economic Development Corporation.

LLEDC is a new public/private partnership focused on economic development in Springfield and Sangamon County. The mission is to pursue economic prosperity and growth for Sangamon County and the City of Springfield by creating a financially sound community able to attract new businesses and skilled talent, while retaining today’s profitable companies and their local workforce.

The purpose of the Citizens Club of Springfield is to promote public, civic, and cultural welfare, particularly relating to Springfield and its metropolitan area by educating its members and the general public in matters concerning public issues and events. There is no cost to attend.
