Bill Pongracz, P.E., recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield headquarters as a construction and asset management practice lead. He will oversee the coordination of employees who provide owner representation, surveying and data collection, construction observation, property management and asset management services.
“I’ll make sure people are in the right places and make sure they are being used efficiently for our project managers and clients,” explained Pongracz. “As the company grows both in number of personnel and across the country, there becomes a need for people whose role is to efficiently manage the people who are here to use them in different locations and to give them different opportunities, whether that’s in different disciplines or geography.”
Hanson has multiple locations nationwide, and Pongracz said in his new role he will be traveling to meet with market leaders in the other offices as well.
Pongracz has more than 30 years of experience in the engineering industry. He most recently worked as vice president and director of the Illinois and Indiana regions for Professional Services Industries, a national consulting engineering firm that was acquired by Intertek.
Pongracz received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University and is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and Indiana.
