Cedarhurst of Springfield, which broke ground in March 2018, has announced that Becky Woiwode will be the senior executive director and Scott Linde has been hired as the community relations director for the assisted living and memory care community, which is scheduled to open in May.

The $14 million senior living development, located at 3520 Old Jacksonville Rd., will include 52 assisted living apartments and 27 memory care apartments.

Woiwode, who has served as the executive director for Cedarhurst of Jacksonville since prior to its opening in 2016, will now be assuming the position of senior executive director of the new Cedarhurst of Springfield location.

Woiwode said, “I am incredibly honored to educate and be a resource for residents and their families dealing with Alzheimer’s disease, end-of-life care and chronic health issues, as well as just being there to listen when they need it.”

Linde, a graduate from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, will also be joining the team as the community relations director.

Cedarhust Senior Living is based out of St. Louis, Missouri, and has multiple locations throughout the Midwest. Cedarhurst of Springfield is being developed by Dover Development, a company based in Clayton, Missouri, that focuses on senior housing and health care developments. Brahms Construction, a full-service construction management firm, also based in Clayton, Missouri, is the construction manager.

Springfield Business Journal originally reported on the groundbreaking for the facility in March 2018.
