Central Illinois Retina Institute in Taylorville will become Springfield Clinic Taylorville-Cheney, effective Jan. 21.

Dr. Lanny Odin, an ophthalmologist and retina specialist who is the sole physician at Central Illinois Retina Institute, will continue practicing at his current location in addition to a new location in Springfield as part of Springfield Clinic’s Eye Institute. Odin currently sees patients at his practice in Taylorville, plus Carlinville Eye Care and Reid Eye Care in Litchfield and will begin working at Springfield Clinic Main Campus West, located at 1025 S. Sixth St.

“We’re pleased to have Dr. Odin join our team here at Springfield Clinic,” said Grant Su, MD, department chair of the Eye Institute. “He not only adds 30 years of retinal eye care expertise to Springfield but he also gives us the opportunity to provide eye care in Litchfield and Carlinville through those outreach locations.”

Odin has been practicing for more than 20 years in the Springfield area and is board certified in ophthalmology.
