Land of Lincoln Economic Development Corporation seeking input

The Land of Lincoln Economic Development Corporation (LLEDC) is seeking to engage the community in a meaningful way to create an economic development plan for strategic action.  Community members are invited to complete an online survey or by providing input at one of three open houses:

  • Thursday, Sept. 27, 5-6:30 p.m. at the University of Illinois Springfield Student Union Room 225A/226B
  • Tuesday, Oct. 2, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Lincoln Library Carnegie Room North
  • Thursday, Oct. 11, 4:30-6 p.m. at the Lincoln Library Carnegie Room North
The open house format allows people to arrive and leave at any time.  Stations and material will be provided to allow people to provide their input into the process.

For members of the community who are interested in filling out the online survey, it can be found here.

Questions about the engagement session can be sent to Josh Collins at [email protected].

The LLEDC is a new public/private partnership focused on economic development in Springfield and Sangamon County Illinois. The group’s mission is to pursue economic prosperity and growth for Sangamon County and the City of Springfield by creating a financially sound community able to attract new businesses and skilled talent, while retaining today’s profitable companies and their local workforce.
