Doug Cheatham joins Town and Country Bank

Town and Country Bank has announced that Doug Cheatham has joined the bank as executive vice president and Chief Financial Officer. Cheatham is responsible for overseeing the bank’s accounting, finance and credit departments.

“Doug is an industry veteran with deep experience, a commitment to strategic leadership and a proven track record in increasing efficiency and reducing overall operating expense.  His extensive experience and cultural alignment solidifies our growth-orientated team,” said Dana Dow, president and COO of Town and Country Bank.

Cheatham comes to Town and Country from Old Second Bancorp located in Aurora, Illinois where he was employed in a similar role for 18 years. Prior to that, Cheatham spent 18 years at Merchants Bancorp, Inc., also in Aurora, where he advanced to EVP and CFO in 1993.

“I’m excited to be a member of the Leadership Team at Town and Country and look forward to working with everyone to achieve the company’s financial goals,” said Cheatham.

He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree, both in finance, from Northern Illinois University. He and his wife, Libby, are the parents of six adult children and reside in Aurora.
