Milk and Honey Fresh Market will reopen soon at a new location.  Owner Jenny Loftus is planning on a June 1 opening at 413 E. Adams, between Café Moxo and The Elf Shelf, in a space formerly occupied by the Sangamon County Democratic Party.

Loftus says while she will not be carrying any dairy, meat or liquor, she will have fresh produce and grocery staples along with some convenience items.  “The Kidzeum across the street will have a cafeteria space, but will not have any food service beyond a soda fountain,” she says, so she would like to offer some grab and go selections for the Kidzeum’s patrons.

The need for less space made her former location too large and Loftus says the new space better fits her current needs.  “I won’t have as many coolers and they took up a lot of space,” she says.

During the initial start up, the hours will be 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.  As she gets more settled in, Jenny says she will probably extend the hours from 9:00 a.m.-9:-00 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. – 1:00p.m. Saturday.   More contact information for Milk and Honey Fresh Market will be available soon.
