HSHS appoints Catie Sheehan as Vice President, Advocacy and Communications

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) has announced the appointment of Catie Sheehan as HSHS Vice President, Advocacy and Communications.  Sheehan succeeds Brian Reardon, HSHS Vice President, External Relations, who recently accepted a position as Vice President of Communications and Marketing with the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA) in St. Louis, Missouri.

Sheehan has served as Executive Director of Marketing, Communications and Advocacy for the HSHS Central Illinois Division.  Prior to joining HSHS, Sheehan worked as a news reporter for WCIA-TV and WICS-TV, press secretary for the Treasurer of the State of Illinois, and with a public relations and lobbying firm based in Chicago. Sheehan also serves as the vice chairman of the Sangamon County Board, representing the county’s 28th district.

Reardon worked for HSHS for 14 years prior to accepting a position with CHA. He previously worked for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs and Illinois Radio Network. He was named one of Springfield Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 in 2011.
