The Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln has elected three new members to join its board of directors in 2018. Jane Denes, Wendi Wills El-Amin and Josh Renken will each serve a four-year term as director.

Jane Denes is a partner of Posegate & Denes, P.C. in Springfield. Among her many volunteer activities, Denes is a founding member of the Women for Women giving circle, including serving as chairperson of its steering and grant committees.

Wendi Wills El-Amin, M.D. is on the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an associate professor of family medicine. She provides care at the Center for Family Medicine in Springfield. She is dually appointed to SIU’s Department of Medical Education and is an Academic Strategist. El-Amin is board certified in family medicine and is a member of the National Medical Association, where she chairs the Women’s Health Section (2008 – present). She also serves on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Illinois. El-Amin was recently appointed the Associate Dean of Equity Diversity and Inclusion at SIU School of Medicine.

Joshua Renken, DDS was born and raised in central Illinois. He owns and practices at Renken Dentistry in Springfield. He and his wife, Leigh, have four children. As a founding member of Innovate Springfield, Renken is invested in growing the entrepreneurial spirit within our local economy.
