Michael Curtis has been promoted to administrator of business development and strategic planning for Memorial Health System. He began his new duties on October 1.

In his new role, Curtis will assume service line responsibility for business development, strategic planning, market outreach, volunteers, community service and community benefit. He will continue to provide support and assistance to the operations teams for the health system and its affiliates in financial planning, resource allocation, business analysis and market opportunities.

Curtis has more than seven years of experience in health care leadership and joined Memorial Health System in 2015 as system director of business development and planning.

Curtis received his Master of Business Administration degree from Benedictine University in Springfield in 2013 and his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Robert Morris College in Springfield in 2001.

Curtis serves as an advisory board member for the Salvation Army and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He and his wife, Staci, live in Divernon and have three children, Zach, Travis and Casey.
