Chef Sean Keeley and Shannon Mathis have teamed up to bring a new catering venture, Artisan & Company, to the Springfield area this fall.
Artisan & Company will offer private and executive catering services featuring custom menus for private dinner parties, executive and corporate dinners, charity fundraisers, political functions, and in-home cooking demonstrations. Cuisine will range from a variety of options, with emphasis on chef Sean’s areas of interest, which include Latin, Italian, Asian, French, New American and farm-to-fork/table cuisines.
Keeley has an extensive background in the culinary arts, and is a longtime staple in the Springfield restaurant scene. Sean’s resume includes experience in the catering, private chef, cooking instructor and restaurant consultant industries, as well as time spent as stage at Stephanie Izzard’s Girl and the Goat, which is located in Chicago; chef and owner of Ross Isaac; executive chef at Indigo Restaurant; chef at Sebastian’s Hideout; and fine dining chef for Barritz Restaurant, located in the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Shannon Mathis is the former executive director of March of Dimes and the current owner of Reiki Retreat, and Mathis will serve as director and manager of Artisan & Company.
