The Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln announces the hire of Aren Dow as programs and marketing associate. Dow, an alumnus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications, previously worked as a reporter and copy editor for Decatur’s Herald & Review where he won multiple awards for news stories and sports features.
As programs and marketing associate, Dow’s responsibilities will include the coordination of CFLL’s grant cycles, as well as overseeing marketing and additional community outreach functions.
The Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln is a nonprofit organization that connects philanthropists and charities in Sangamon, Cass, Christian, Logan, Macoupin, Menard, Montgomery and Morgan counties. The organization was founded in 1924 as the Sangamon County Foundation, changed their name to the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln in 2011, and has awarded more than $7.2 million in community grants to date.
