Monroe St. Plans indicate that the interior walls and slab of the vestibule will be demolished and removed, and a new aluminum and glass exterior storefront and vestibule slab will be constructed. Scheels has obtained a permit to conduct an interior remodel of Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory. The remodel will affect the second floor of Scheels, which is located at 3801 S. MacArthur Blvd. The contractor is Riverton-based Franklin Construction Co., and the project is valued at $50,000.

Seritage SRC Properties has obtained a permit for an interior build-out of Binny’s Beverage Depot, the east building located at 2490 W. Wabash Ave. The remodel will include new power and energy efficient lighting. The contractor is Broadville-based Nesko Electric Company, and the project is valued at $1,068,732.

Seritage Growth Properties has obtained a permit for new construction for Outback Steakhouse, located at 2590 Wabash Ave. The permit includes permission for five lavatories, five toilets, two urinals, six sinks, 32 floor drains, six roof drains, a back-flow preventer and a gas pipe opening. The contractor is Decatur-based King-Lar Company, and the project is valued at $1,900,000.

Senergy Electric, Inc. has been named as the contractor who will wire the new solar system atop the Springfield Target retailer, located at 3445 Freedom Dr. The project is valued at $649,101.

The Target Corporation has obtained a permit to upgrade select fixtures and floor finishes of the retail location at 3445 Freedom Dr. The upgrades will occur in the home sales department, accessories and apparel departments, and the in-store Starbucks. The contractor is Henson Robinson Company, and the project is valued at $420,287.
