A Springfield apartment complex has been sold, following four years of vacancy.

Diana and David Rodriguez of Tampa, Florida, bought Bally Vaughn Apartments, 1317 W. Washington St., in July through their company Springfield Village LLC.

The purchase was announced via press release by Rosemont, Illinois-based real estate firm Foresight Realty Partners LLC. The press release says the property was 100 percent vacant for the past four years and "was in need of significant repair and rehab." Foresight says the new owners plan to rehab the property.

Sangamon County property records show Springfield Village LLC paid $840,000 for the property to another company, Springfield Washington LLC, on July 18. That company, registered in Tallahassee, Florida, purchased the property for $250,000 from Maroon BVA Holdings LLC on April 27 of this year. Maroon BVA Holdings LLC, owned by Sabal Financial Group L.P. in Newport Beach, California, bought the property in 2013.
