A new retail strip center is planned for Liberty Drive in Springfield.
RAM Innovations, LLC obtained a building permit June 29 to begin building Liberty Plaza, a 9,000-square-foot retail center at 3450 Liberty Dr.
RAM Innovations is owned by Ramprasad Talluri, who also owns Sky Zone Springfield trampoline park. Liberty Plaza will be located on the same land as Sky Zone.
The contractors on the Liberty Plaza development are Capitol Builders Inc. and B&H Roofing. The project valuation is $500,000.
Other permits recently issued by the city include the following:
Target Corporation obtained a permit to remodel its store at 3445 Freedom Dr. The remodel will see upgrades to fixtures, flooring, walls and more. The project valuation is $420,287, and the contractor is S.M. Wilson & Co. of St. Louis.
Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. obtained a permit to demolish a building at 2612 Farragut Dr. The demolition is part of an expansion to LRS’ campus, enabled by the expansion of an enterprise zone in Springfield. The contractor is O’Shea Builders, and the project valuation is $20,117.
